If you read the book Eat This Not That, you would gain a never-ending hatred of Chili's.

Here's the thing. There are restaurants you go to eat at where the meal is the purpose of your outing. Cant' think of many chains that meet this criteria for me.

Then there is a meal while out shopping, catching a movie, etc. A chain has to be truly awful for me to never go there under those circumstances. We go to Chili's, Applebee's, Wingers, OG, etc. in those circumstances. It's a matter of mood and what is close by.

If out and about and in the mood for Italian, we'll hit Olive Garden because it's close and we'd have to go to SL Valley or Provo to get something better.

      Same idea with Chili's, etc.

So you like Chili's and hate Arby's.

I'm sorry, but we shall never be great friends.

I stand corrected about On the Border. I completely forgot about Arby's.

I HATE LC, but I my kids like the same as any other pizza. So I constantly get them the $5 pre-made pizzas. It reminds me of a place in Provo in the early 90's that always advertised in the DU for $5 large pepperoni. I think it was located on Canyon or University. Frozen Totinos (the only pizza able to have molten hot sauce and still frozen pepperoni squares, simultaneously) was a step up from that

Mmmm the Pizza Pipeline... spent a few Friday nights eating that stuff and playing video games in DT as a freshman.

I've never had an issue with Olive Garden. I'm not that picky. I think it is pretty good.

I used to really hate Chilis, but it has gotten tolerable. The only thing they used to have was fajitas and I'm not a fan. My kids really like going there for some reason. They haven't requested it in a while, so we're good.

                  I've never had a good experience at Applebee's .

YES that was the place. That plus a .29 Maverick refill was many a meal for me back in the day.

This is why Applebee's is a one-and-done, hands-down winner of this category for me. I'll eat Chili's chips and salsa or OG's salad, if I'm there with a group. I refuse to order anything but a Diet Pepsi at Applebee's.

Have you had the Tequila Lime Chicken? It's not bad.

The crisp orange chicken bowl isn't half bad.

That's what they were called. I've been sitting here trying to remember what the cinnamon bread things were. Came with melted frosting for dipping, too. Mmmm.

I hate Outback Steak House. And Chili's.
