  • Mastering the Art of French Cooking

I enjoy cooking fine french meals, so my daughter gave me the Julia Child cookbook for Christmas. Should I try and cook every recipe within the next year? And should I start a blog about it? Who knows what it might lead to.

Forget that book. Do every recipe in this book over the next year and you get a movie deal fo sho.

A Mormon cookbook eh? I wonder how many ways there are to make Mac and Cheese, jello, and red sparkle. I suspect that if every recipe were cooked over the year, my family would all succumb to morbid obesity or worse, cardiac arrest.

This is like saying, "I am a pianist, so my daughter gave me a book of music for all of Bach's piano works for Christmas. Should I try and master every piece within the next year?" By all means do it! I salute you for being able to pull this off. As you know, it takes more than a cookbook. But what a waste to consume all that great french cooking unaccompanied by wine.
