A simple discovery of another secret menu option has exponentially increased by enjoyment of In-N-Out burger. You can actually get your burger with chopped chillies. Added chopped chillies to an animal style double-double is an improvement equal to going from a pain double-double to an animal style double-double.
I have upgraded In-N-Out on the burger spectrum

It's pretty rare for a chain to have a secret menu, especially since most are just repackaging whatever Sysco gave them. But it's quite common for smaller, independent places to have some off-menu items. This is especially true for Chinese restaurants. Some even have an entirely different menu for their Chinese customers.Originally posted by JohnnyLingo View PostDo secret menus exist at other restaurants? Do other retailers offer secret products?

I see. What is the purpose of a secret menu? From funk's description, In-N-Out's best food is secret! Doesn't it hurt your sales to hide it?Originally posted by YOhio View PostIt's pretty rare for a chain to have a secret menu, especially since most are just repackaging whatever Sysco gave them. One possibility is that it isn't as quick to make these secret menu item and at a place that promotes speed, time is everything. If they keep their visible menu small, there will have enough straight forward orders to keep things moving.Originally posted by JohnnyLingo View PostI see. What is the purpose of a secret menu? I suppose. Though I'm not convinced the large and complex menus at Burger King have an overly adverse effect on their wait times.Originally posted by beefytee View PostOne possibility is that it isn't as quick to make these secret menu item and at a place that promotes speed, time is everything. I doubt it has hurt I/O sales. They've been able to create an incredible following and the secret menu is partially responsible. It serves as a reward to longtime, loyal customers that they're able customize their food in a way that the casual customer can't. The brilliance of the secret menu is that it's well known, but I/O hasn't had to spend a cent advertising it.Originally posted by JohnnyLingo View PostI see. What is the purpose of a secret menu? Also, the best thing you could ever have there is Whole Grilled Onions on your burger. The only way to go.
