  • Anyone been to In-n-Out yet? (in Northern Utah)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, since the Orem and Draper locations open today.

Are these the first locations that get a real winter (i.e. Regular Snow)?

How cold does it get in Redding and Chico?

I'm excited for the t-shirts that show a minivan stuck in the snow, underneath an inversion.

There's an In-N-Out in Reno. They get regular snow, right?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I'll be down in Utah this weekend, and going to In-N-Out not be one of the things I do.

Sorry, In-N-Out: value-priced, mediocre food isn't worth getting excited about.

Yeah, but we already established that you don't excited about ANY burger, so your opinion isn't worth much, is it?

My office is directly across the street from the ORem location. At 9am this morning they brought us a bunch of free burgers. It was nice.

Speaking of t-shirts, what do the I/O shirts say in Utah?

The super old school t shirts from high school used to say "Quality You Can Taste." If you see one of those, it is a very old t shirt.

That was replaced by "Southern California" in the 90s, I believe.

Do the Utah ones say "Utah" on them?

When you eat it, do you say, "mediocre, mediocre, mediocre?"

A friend of mine posted on Facebook at 11:30 AM that the Draper drive-thru was backed up 2 blocks, I can't imagine how bad it is now.

By way of comparison, I did visit the Five Guys that opened in Midvale. That is a good burger and I like the fries.

                    Sorry, In-N-Out.

                      Another convert!

I had In-N-Out a few weeks ago in Phoenix. And it's not the same. Maybe the nostalgia has worn off from my youth. Or maybe it's that I moved from Utah and no longer have to champion it as the end all be all. But more than likely, it's just a good fresh burger with fresh fries. I do like their milkshakes though. But if the two were side by side and I had to choose one for lunch I'd walk into Five Guys everyday, Fitday be damned. It's worth the extra dollar or two.

It snows in Redding about once each winter. Any accumulation greater than an inch or two occurs only every few years.

I agree that In-N-Out is overrated, but that's only because it's rated so high. That doesn't change the fact that it's a dang good burger. I will be frequenting the West Jordan location on a regular basis. I'm excited.

The In n Out in Orem is a joke right nwo. For those that know where its at, the drive-thru has cars going back through the parking lot, past Sensous Sandwich, out to the side street where Chuck'A'Rama is, it turns right and goes all the way back behind that shopping center. I would guess about 100 or more cars waiting right now. They have about 10 workers outside taking orders.

Did the Five Guys burger make you say "AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!"?

I'll bet you spent $10 on that meal. Its good, I agree. I'm going to have In-N-Out today for $5.

I'm not sure which burger I prefer, to be honest, but for me, In-N-Out is not "half as good" as the Five Guys burger.
