  • You guys are weird. I can't think of anything I eat that is in any way unorthodox. Bananas with peanut butter? I imagine lots of people do that, many thanks to Mr Rogers. I also make peanut butter and jam sandwiches using saltine crackers. Bottom line, I love peanut butter and don't like any weird stuff.

    • This is not unorthodox but Chili-mac is delicious. A box of Kraft Mac and Cheese mixed with a can of chili. Delish!

I have a soft spot for chili and mac and cheese, as I ate it a lot growing up as a kid.

Unfortunately, that soft spot is called my "arterial wall."

These days, I enjoy the homemade versions, as mac and cheese in a box tastes nasty to me. With the cold weather approaching, that is some tasty comfort food right there.
        Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Chili-Mac is definitely one of this dad's ways to win over the entire brood.

Hmm.. my dad went with the less-popular bean and bacon soup method.

            Explains a lot.

Must be generational. My dad loves Bean and Bacon Soup. My brothers and I, not so much.

Love white rice with butter, salt and pepper. I also like the white rice, warm milk, sugar and cinnamon.

Grilled cheese sandwich dipped in tomato soup. Don't have soup? No problem, just use catsup.

I like shredded wheat cereal with crunchy PB and sugar.

I love putting Dorito chips on a cold cut sandwich and then squishing the sandwich until the chips get smashed.

My wife eats her chili with mayo. That is just nasty.

Speaking of spam, did any of your mothers ever prepare "fancy spam?" You know the stuff with a glaze and whole cloves poked in the top?

                Yech.

                • Also, a nice tuna fish sandwich dipped in tomato soup is great, too.

I also find it interesting what some regions offer that others don't, that might be considered nasty. For example, I live in KY where everyone loves everything that bologna. Especially fried bologna sandwiches with american cheese. I cannot stand the thought of processed meats and cheeses, let alone on the same sandwich.
I was in Nashville a couple weeks ago and the local Hardee's was advertising a fried bologna sandwich.

                    The South is weird.
