I look foward to moving when the right opportunity comes. One thing I will miss terribly is Tillamook Marrionberry Pie ice cream. Well, pretty much anything Tillamook, but especially Marrionberry Pie. It's good enough to make Spokane bearable.

Sorry to hear that. If you move back to Utah, you still might be able to find Tillamook Ice Cream. My wife, who is from Oregon, and I saw it at a store and bought some. However, we've forgotten where it was or it is no longer sold there. We haven't seen any for years.Originally posted by CJF View PostI look foward to moving when the right opportunity comes. The cheese is down here. If that helps. I know...not quite the same.

One of my favorite places EVER! It is cool to see how cheese is made, the best ice-cream known to man and old dairy cows turned into my favorite jerky.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostWe should meet up in Tillamook and go on a tour of the factory. They don't give ice cream samples, but they do give cheese samples!
Tillamook also has one of my favorite golf holes I have ever played. A 150-200 yard par 3 almost straight up hill. It is otherwise a crappy course, but I love that one hole.

I'm from Spokane and people abbreviate Coeur d'Alene as CDA all the time.Originally posted by beefytee View PostCDA???
Is that the cool way to say Coeur D'Alene?
I do think it is a cool place. I also like Spokane though I've never lived there.
I can understand wanting to get out of Spokane. It doesn't have much to offer in the way of culture, food, and scenery. The downtown is looking crumbly and worn down. spokane is the worst road trip destination EVER. After high school some friends went up there for a wedding... we were killing ourselves trying to find something to do."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

We live in Post Falls, and spend a lot of time in CDA. I work in Spokane Valley and go downtown about twice a month. I agree with your assessment. In the summer time, this part of Idaho is beautiful. On my drive from SPV to PF, I drive past two large bald eagle nests and I follow the river to work. It is truly beautiful. But starting about now it turns grey almost every. It seems like you never see the sun. It gets dark very early. It is just depressing. In Utah when it snows, you still see the sun that week. That's not the case here. Or it wasn't last winter. I wouldn't mind being rich enough to have a summer home here, but come Sept. 1st, I'd get the heck out of town if I could.Originally posted by Mrs. Funk View PostI'm from Spokane and people abbreviate Coeur d'Alene as CDA all the time.
