New Moon Soundtrack

Not sure who is in charge of music for New Moon, but that person has some serious connections/pull. The last soundtrack was pretty good, but they outdid themselves this time, not only with the lineup, but also by virtue of the fact that they got all the artists to contribute original material.

Cash Rules Everything Around Me, C.R.E.A.M. get the money, dolla dolla bill yo.

Yeah. I doubt there was too much arm twisting involved. The movie exchange I play currently projects that film to make just under a quarter billion in its first four weeks, US alone. That is the chance of a lifetime for most of those artists in terms of exposure. Heck, all of them except maybe York.

Great lineup as MG says. And I love Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Nice one there.

Certainly you can come up with a new rap lyric about a cash grab. Have you only listened to two or three hip hop CD's in your entire life?

I'm selling Funk short, probably. In reality I'm guessin hasn't used that same line more than a few times, it only seems like we're sitting on about 5-6.

Yes there is a whole universe of material that out there , but how many of these cash grabbing rappers have their own financial firm? Not to mention that none of these other rappers have ever expressed the importance of money in a more poetic matter. I did consider using "Loin of Coin" but it just wasn't quite as poetic.
