We've added a couple new games that we really like. Both are co-op games.

Elder Sign. I've never played Arkham Horror (due to the fact the game takes hours to play), but this one has been described as a Arkham Horror lite. Nice dice mechanic and a fun game.

Sentinels of the Multiverse. A cooperative card game with a comic book theme. I really like this game a lot. Great art work on the cards. Game play is fast and setup is quite easy.

SIRS and I started playing both Carcassonne and Mystery of the Abbey. They are both excellent, and Carcassonne is especially good for family play.

My SIL received a board game for Xmas. It is called "7 Deadly Sins." Basically, it is a trivial pursuit format based around some sexy questions and a bunch of boring other stuff. The other day I swung by the in laws house and they were all sitting around pretending to be very offended by the content of the game.

I didn't see what the big deal was and my 'laws were dumbfounded that I was not equally offended by the game. My SIL pulled a random card and asked me a sample question from the sexy category. I was so thrilled when she asked because for one brief moment, all of my time spent on message boards proved to be useful. For you older CGers, you may probably know the answer to the question at the bottom of the card:

My in laws were blown away...not only did I know the answer, but I didn't hesitate. I even told them the location of the museum in question. I think now they all consider me a sexiness expert of some sort or another. I also got the feeling that my MIL was turned on a bit by my clandestine knowledge of sex.

Ahem. He makes me sound a simpleton. The criticism I've heard of Caylus is that it's cutthroat. Of course, some people really enjoy the game for this reason. I'm all about peace and love, dude.

I do have 7 Wonders. It is a great game and a really good gateway game. It also scales really nicely for larger groups of players. We played with a group of friends that don't play boardgames much with 6 players and it worked out really well.

Nothing is really catching my eye as a potential new game, so if anyone has any ideas, I would love some suggestions. Dominant Species looks good, but the price is a little high for my tastes.
A favorite card game for my friends and I is Fluxx. The game is very entertaining and os fun over a few drinks with good conversation. For best results the drinks should contain alcohol.

Yeah, funk, try that one! It's a bit hard to find, but great game!

Picked up the 7 Wonders Leaders expansion, and it adds a fun dimension to the game, and a lot of new strategic ways to win. This is a good buy for 7 Wonders fans.

Also picked up Ticket to Ride for the iPad. It is a perfect port, and fun for solo-play. I think it has probably ruined the board game for me, since it plays so quickly with the computer managing all of the cards and shuffling.
