We've had at least three mentions of untruths in Moore's films with one person going so far as to call an untruth a "lie."

So what are the untruths? And especially, where is the "lie?"

lol. epu, are you suggesting that the right can't get a movie funded? Corporate freaking america? Big oil? Big tobacco? You don't think the NRA could have put together the money for a response piece to Bowling for Columbine?

There is a reason why far-right docs don't get made, but it has nothing to do with money.

They have the same problem news does: reported news cannot be entirely free of bias.

That doesn't mean we give in and say, "Oh well, might as well make this as slanted as I can."

Good journalists try to make their stories as fair as possible. Bad ones use their position to promote their own agenda, with no effort to even appear fair.

I refuse to accept the line of thinking that OF COURSE documentary films are hopelessly biased, so OF COURSE Moore lies and exaggerates and promotes his agenda; he can hardly do otherwise!

            It's a copout.

Liberals are more fun to listen to. Seriously, would you rather spend time with Michael Moore and Bill Mahr or Rush and Hannity? I would rather shoot myself than spend 10 minutes with the conservatives.

                Are you intentionally being funny?

                  Moore isn't a journalist. He's a filmmaker.

You seem intent in showing your lack of eruditeness across all platforms....economics, politics, BYU quarterbacks....now filmmaking.

                    Thus far...smashing success!

                      A documentary filmmaker. From dictionary.com:

doc⋅u⋅men⋅ta⋅ry: based on or re-creating an actual event, era, life story, etc., that purports to be factually accurate and contains no fictional elements: a documentary life of Gandhi.

                        Consider it a docudrama then.

100% serious. Maher and Moore are funny. Rush and Hannity are intolerable.

Okay. So what was inaccurate? Remember, you are making the accusation, so the burden of proof is on you.

Because the latter two espouse a political philosophy that you disagree with.

My point, falafel, is that he has no obligation to state that he is presenting a film that is his opinion. He is presenting the world through his own eyes and biases. All productions, books, biographies, autobiographies are produced with the biases of those who are makign them. Truth is not the goal. making money or swaying others to your POV is the real purpose.
