I'm a lawyer in the PA's office in fictional Kindle County. Stuck in the late 80s, early 90s.
Not bad. Name the movie.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Jumanji II - not sure, I didn't see how it ended"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Turrow had a great run as an author and then kind of disappeared. I wonder if he just went back to his legal career.Originally posted by falafel View PostBoom! Nice work."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I worked at the same firm in the day. He never quit practicing there and maintained his title and an office for many years. Every time he published a new book they would distribute a free signed copy to all the attorneys in the firm. Perks! As a practical matter, however, he stopped practicing actively when his writing career took off. He was more of a marketing tool, occasionally lending his name for some perceived advantage or on a pro bono matter. As his writing career waned and the movie consultations dwindled, he returned to a more active practice but, as I understand, that was still mostly as a marketing magnet.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostTurrow had a great run as an author and then kind of disappeared. Presumed Innocent was actually the first Turow novel I've read, and I just finished it this week (that's why I watched the movie). Such a well done legal thriller. I wondered what happened to him, since I haven't seen other books recently. Then I saw he published a book in 2017.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostTurrow had a great run as an author and then kind of disappeared.
