HBO's Documentary - Andre the Giant

Watched the Andre the Giant documentary on HBO last night and it was excellent. I was skeptical because Bill Simmons was involved, but even he couldn't botch this one. Gave some good insights into the early days of pro wrestling and the role that Andre played in helping to make it what it is today.

It also talked about his condition and his health in the years leading up to the end of his life. And of course, it talked about how much he drank...he drank so much it might even make Funk blush!

    Anyway, I highly recommend it.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I worked for United Airlines while going to school. One night after pulling up the runway and opening the door Andre the Giant is the first person off the plane. He was massive. The flight attendant told me she cut him off after 12 beers and this was on a 1 1/2 hour flight.

He must have a massive badder too, no way is he fitting into those tiny airplane bathrooms.

They addressed that in the documentary, funny enough. He had long flights to Japan, etc., can't hold it for 14 hours!

I watched the first 1/3 of the documentary. Hope to finish the rest this evening.

I haven't watched wrestling in 20 years. I was shocked to see how much Vince and Shane McMahon have changed. Plastic surgery at its finest.

I can't afford to drink as much as I want. Craft beers and good whiskey can be very expensive.
