    Just finished "The Road".
    Excellent, emotional, painful.

Next up is "The White Tiger"
    I intend to live forever.
    So far, so good.

I just finished a book called "The White Hotel." A very fine novel. Highly recommended. But really sad.

I'll have to read it. I could use a nightmare or two to liven things up.

I finished In Cold Blood the other day. Waiting for Founding Brothers and McCullough's John Adams and The Great Bridge to come in at my library.

Two of my all-time favorite books. You are in for a treat.

I've enjoyed everything I've read of McCullough's. I think you are in for a treat with John Adams. If you haven't already read Truman, I would highly recommend it.

Just finished In Cold Blood by Capote and 1776 by McCullough. In Cold Blood is a great read, anyone else read this but me and Surfah?

I read it many years ago - long enough that I could read it again and enjoy it as much as I did the first time.

And 1776 is terrific, isn't it?

                          • Capote is great. ICB is a great book.

For a lighter side of Capote, rent "Murder by Death"...an all-star mystery/comedy that is based on a caricature of Capote as a mystery writer.

You should also read Breakfast at Tiffany's. The movie is a lightweight version of the book, which is more raw and doesn't necessarily romanticize the lifestyles of Holly (and Paul). While the movie is great, the book is better.

wuap, have you had the chance to read Zeitoun yet? It seems like a book that would be right up your alley. I saw it at the bookstore the other day and browsed its pages for a while. It looked pretty good, but I am pretty tight on time to read extraneous books at the moment. Just wondering what you thought of it, if you've read it. Or anyone else (if they've read it), for that matter.
