All we need is just a little patience.

Adler probably isn't capable of drumming on that level so I could see leaving him out. However, unless he declined the invite, not having Izzy is an abomination.

I just think it's a bad idea unless it can be proven that Axel can sing again. He sounded like shit the last time I heard him attempt to sing w those damaged vocal cords.

Agreed. Steven's ferocity worked on Appetite, but I haven't heard him play with the precision that some of the Illusion songs would require. I've wondered if Geffen pushed for Matt Sorum, a solid, technical drummer, and that Steven's drug problems were only a contributing factor to his ousting. Of course, his subsequent drug use has contributed to what appears to me to be mild brain damage.

Izzy seems to be on good terms with the boys; maybe he just doesn't want all the hoopla.

Duff has become a life coach of sorts in the wake of Velvet Revolver, but he should play better than ever.

With my IPOD and BYUTV I just never have to leave the 80's! Ty Detmer as OC and G'N'R reunions, pishaw! None of us ever broke up!

Axl actually sings better now than he did back in the day, or at least he will if he hits the treadmill and drops about 40 lbs.

Sometime during the Chinese Democracy sessions Axl hired a real vocal coach who has taught him to sing in a way that isn't so tough on his voice.

The voice GnR fans loved was the voice of him doing it wrong.

No kidding. Try making that voice doing karaoke and see if your vocal cords don't ache!

GnR's set is fantastic. They sound better than ever too. Yes, Axl broke his foot and had to sing from a chair, but that seems to have only helped him hit notes. Slash's playing is sober and serious, and to these ears he sounds almost like in a studio. Maybe he's trying to make a point?

Damn, what a set list. And Slash and Duff were mature enough to play some Chinese Democracy tunes.

He does sound pretty good. I wouldn't dare get up from that chair if I were him, though!
