I liked the video, because TS seemed to genuinely enjoy buying and wrapping the presents. Now Mariah Carey-- her I would not believe would do something like this, because she has an entourage. Plus, when you're single, you have a lot of spare time at Christmas.

I don't know how you watch the video -- or listen to the song -- and think it's anything but satire.

Somebody tell Topper that the coast is clear for marrying TSwifty!

I must be weak to such things, because I found that video to be pretty cool and heartwarming in a way.. I found it to be pretty thoughtful, but then the cynical in me found that she did a video and post it out there to be self gratifying too..

At least not the kind of self gratifying that Hannah Montana's been doing.

Of all of the musicians that teens follow and fall in love with, they could do worse than T Swift. Much worse.

I think she's a little weird at times - probably helped by the celebrity and lack of grounding in reality that comes with it.

But T Swift is OK in my book. Her career track certainly rolls along better than some of the other teen singers as they transitioned into adulthood (at least from the perspective of a parent with children following said singers.)

Taylor Swift's recent taming of Apple -- making the world's most valuable and one of its most powerful companies kow-tow to her demands -- is yet another example of her influence. This thread title is even more spot-on now than it was last October when this thread was started. Every artist reaches an apex and then slowly fades. At some point T Swizzle is going to, but it's been a pretty impressive run. All you naysayers just better get used to it -- it's her world, and you're just living in it!

Someday she'll settle down and get married, and have some children. Love songs to her kids will be a new twist for her, and a welcome relief to the rest of us.

her babies will eventually dump her after a couple of months.

In a tweet that left the science world reeling, TSwifty announces that she will no longer critically review manuscripts for publication in Nature.

Ms. Swift, who is a regular reviewer for the journal on such diverse research topics as Particle Physics, Molecular Medicine and the use of mobile phone data to track infectious disease epidemics, has long been critical of the highly-profitable journal Nature having a policy of giving reviewers a subscription to the journal in return for doing a review.

“I can get Nature for free on the internet, everybody puts the papers on their own websites now anyway”, said the singer of worldwide mega-hit “Shake it off”.

“It’s just not cutting it any more to give me a year’s subscription. I want money.”
                            Cultural colossus, indeed!

No wonder she can't review papers anymore. Bigger fish to fry. Like solving conflicts in the mideast.

The “Blank Space” singer decided to take eastern conflict into her own hands by damning long-standing religious conflicts and land disputes as ‘totally lame’ and said ISIS were ‘absolutely not cool at all’ in a blog post which saw jihadi fighters across the globe drop their weapons to appease the 25 year old american singer.

Rebel militias across Turkey, Iran and Iraq reportedly felt ‘humiliated’ by the popstars blog post which saw her draw parallels between dispute in the Arabian Peninsula and recent heartbreak felt while working on her new album. Taliban fighters reportedly said they felt Miss Swift’s words were ‘a bit strong’ but enough to ‘put them back on the right path’.
John Kerry is right there with Levin in recognizing TSwifty's unique place in history.

John Kerry, United States Secretary for State tweeted: ‘Her heartfelt profundity and incisive attack on the atrocities committed in the Middle East are exactly what lawmakers and soldiers have been unable to put in words. It makes soldiers look like cowards in comparison.’

A spokesperson for the Middle East told BFNN this: “When a high profile celebrity like Taylor Swift starts calling you out on your injustices there’s a moment when you have to take a step back and reassess the situation. Her last album 1989 was sensational. Armed conflict, is that sensational? No. It really put things into perspective.”
But the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.

Taylor has come under fire from humanitarian groups who claim the singer merely brought peace to the Middle East in a bid to increase her twitter following, calling it a ‘hollow victory by a vapid blonde bitch who is inanely idolised despite her relentless capitalistic appetite’.
And she gives the middle finger to science again!

She also prompted a flurry of complaints from physicists across the globe who were angered at her flippant remark that scientists aren’t doing enough to work on perpetual motion machines which would help artists power mixing desks and PA systems at no cost. She said ‘laws are there to be broken, even the laws of thermodynamics.’

According to her instagram Miss Swift is taking two days out to go bicycling with friends before moving on to resolve the poverty and food shortages in Africa then global warming – making a crude joke that she’s already done more than enough to resolve erectile dysfunction.
