I thought it was very redemptive, in a realistic sort of way.
But I could see how not everyone would dig it.

Yes, these people are all dealing with tons of grief and loss and its really throwing their lives into upheaval. But, like not-Archibald said, a lot of the show is about the people trying to redeem themselves and their relationships.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Beyond that, what I really enjoyed about the show was that it was grief and loss that made ABSOLUTELY no sense. No explanation, no rhyme or reason. Unexplainable. period. And I was so glad that they didn't try to explain it, it would have ruined the point.

A lot of life, maybe even most of it, doesn't make any sense. And yet we struggle on, maybe blindly projecting some sort of meaning onto it all, and convincing ourselves we get it.

I loved Nora's story. Magic Wayne seemed to have fixed her, but no really. She came unglued when she remembered. (And what an amazing acting job that was). But after she remembered, remembered her loss, and really processed it, she is able to go on the road to recovery. And so she sets off, to what, nobody knows.
I think Kevin got it as Patti died in his arms (an amazing Pieta homage). The Patti his subcouscious beat and battled with, accepted, and then buried. Wash and confession, he heads home, a man on the road to redemption.

The details don't matter, but the process does.

I'm not sure how you get more inspiring than that.
            I intend to live forever.
            So far, so good.

                I also haven't started season 2.

I almost don't want to. Season 1 just had such an amazing ending.

But of course, I will. Maybe tonight.

Dude, didn't you read anything I wrote!

What I mean by to early to tell is we can't be sure how the relationships are going to turn out. But the characters are making the moves in the right direction. Its going to be a long process.

As I wrote up above in this thread, this was my favorite show of last year.

I watched all of S1 when I had strep throat in March and grew kinda frustrated by the end. I'm curious for S2 but not hopeful. I won't watch until I can binge watch the whole thing.

Lifetime usually has some pretty good movies. And the Christmas movies are just around the corner.

Has Season 2 ended yet? I'm ready to start watching!

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. I think it is only 3 weeks into it.
