    Halfway thru season 2 and I just read this thread for the first time and I echo most of the comments. Ok show, but it's undecided on its tone. I think the acting varies from good/decent to roadshow-esque. Season 2 is marginally better than 1 but why Jason Biggs is in this role is baffling to me. Watching him try to cry was uncomfortable to say the least. Pornestache was good for a few yucks but when his character is juxtaposed against serious plot lines it becomes laughable. Also, if Piper weren't so obtusely annoying I'd probably care more about her, too. Asian chick was definitely physically a surprise but her character of flower child is beyond annoying.

    Anyone who says this show is on par with House of Cards is just plain wrong.

      I agree. OITNB is infinitely less preposterous than House of Cards.

        I'll concede that point but I think the acting is markedly better in HOC. Acting, for me anyway, can overcome plausibility (to an extent).
