I have to say ... it has me concerned. Maybe Zack Snyder wasn't the right guy for this film after all. Michael Shannon looks like he will make a good villain though.

I thought the trailer was well done and moved me from "cautiously optimistic" to "this has a chance to be pretty good." It will be hard not reading reviews before I see it, but I'll try with this one. Superman Returns had very positive initial reviews and I think those over sold me. Though I probably like that movie better than most people, it was still disappointing compared to the preconceived notion I had going in. I don't want that to happen with Man of Steel. I'm trying to keep my expectations tempered, but I'm looking forward to this flick.
