  • Official "Celebrity News and Gossip" thread

This thread is for official celebrity news and gossip. I expect that it will just end up as me and Il Pad posting in this thread, but everyone is welcome.

Reese Witherspoon, the star of "Legally Blonde" and "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde" was recently charged with disorderly conduct after her husbands traffic stop. The arrest occurred despite the fact that the arresting officer was warned of Reese's celebrity status.

Before the field sobriety test began, Witherspoon got out of the car, was told to get back in and obeyed, the report said. After she got out a second time, the trooper said he warned her that she would be arrested if she left the car again.
As the test continued, "Mrs. Witherspoon began to hang out the window and say that she did not believe that I was a real police officer. I told Mrs. Witherspoon to sit on her butt and be quiet," Trooper First Class J. Pyland writes.
Toth was then placed under arrest. He was charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain the lane.
At that point, the report says, Witherspoon got out and asked the trooper what was going on. After being told to return to the car, she "stated that she was a `US Citizen' and that she was allowed to `stand on American ground,"' the report states.
The trooper then began to arrest Witherspoon. The report says Witherspoon was resistant at first but was calmed down by her husband.
"Do you know my name?" Witherspoon is quoted as asking the trooper. She's also said: "You're about to find out who I am" and "You're about to be on national news," according to the report.

Did she forget it wasn't 2001 or that she isn't married to super hunk Ryan Phillippe anymore or both?

I'm a little disappointed with YOhio. I would think you would confine yourself to "Celebrity news and responsible Gossip."

My wife would like this thread.

This week she got all her info about the Boston Marathon Bombing from the People Magazine app and website.

The Amanda Bynes watch is pretty entertaining right now.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

                "No."
                "That chick from Alias?"
                "No."
                "The one married to Coldplay?"

Prince Harry's book Spare is coming out next week, but the press has already gotten their hands on copies. It's difficult to predict how the public will react, but I think this will blow over and Prince Harry will come off as the whiny snow flake he seems to have turned into with Meghan. Still, for those who want to remake the UK government, this could be one more reason to get rid of the Monarchy. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

Snowflake indeed. Harry is shameless. What a train wreck.

Apparently - Harry's whole identity lies in the fact that he's not the chosen one - and that he's the spare - and that's an insult to him. Thus - the name of the book. At this point - he's offended just about everyone in the world by complaining that his station in life is not good enough.

I used to try and feel sympathy for him - but he's worn out his welcome with just about everyone he knows - except for Prince Andrew.

What a ridiculous system the UK has. None of these people in the royal family should get an ounce of American sympathy. Harry is ridiculous but no more ridiculous than William or any other person in that family.

Apparently harry was beat up once by William when they were kids. I mean, that was a weekly thing for me being the youngest son in the family. Too bad my dad wasn’t a prince so I could make a buttload of money in a book deal.

Yeah, that is one of the funnier things coming out. Your big brother beat you up once? Who the hell cares?
