Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

Has anyone watched this series? Its a "Crackle Original," so probably not many.

Its 10 short episodes where Jerry Seinfeld picks some random "classic" car, calls up a comedian friend, picks him up and they go get coffee somewhere. Its totally unscripted (as far as I can tell). Just Jerry and his friends talking.. (wait, come back!) about whatever.

My favorite episodes are with Larry David, Alec Baldwin, and Ricky Gervais. There's also one with Michael Richards. It seems like they haven't seen each other in a few years. Michael Richards isn't all that funny (you can tell he's trying to be), but near the end of the episode they begin talking about the n-word incident. You can tell that Richards was really sort of broken by all of that. It doesn't sound like he's been out much at all since. The scene doesn't make up for the incident, but it certainly makes you empathize with him for a moment.

Anyway, if you've got 13 minutes to spare, check an episode out.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I've seen the whole series and really enjoy it. Regarding Michael Richards: I enjoyed the part where he was chatting with the people in the parking lot. You can tell he really gets a high off of that kind of interaction.

Also, I've only seen the videos at comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com. I don't think it's a Crackle production -- my impression is that Jerry Seinfeld produced it himself.

I agree, he really took his time and talked to those people. Some of that is just his personality, I think, but I felt that some of it was probably his desire to be liked again after all the nastiness before.

That could be true. Crackle bills it as one of their "originals," but that may just mean that they are the only outlet that Jerry has licensed it to.

I also really like the Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks episode. Carl Reiner is a bit of a snoozer, but once you get him together with Mel Brooks watching tv, and Jerry sitting there drinking it all in, it gets really good.
