I've actually enjoyed this season of the Bad Batch more than the Mandalorian.
The characters, dialogue, and acting are terrible. Everyone talks like an emotionless robot. And the whole "don't take off your helmet", "This is the way" stuff is stupid. They need to end this series and find a new tangent to explore.

But Baby Yoda is cool. And the Lake Powell scenes have been fun.

The don't take your helmet of thing is really annoying. A close knit community that is supposed to maintain a bond has to go out in the wilderness to eat alone every time? What's the appeal with of this group? And the kid that gets snatched by the dragon thing was the son of one of them? Intimacy with a helmet left on sounds fun.

This is how the show will end. Bo Katan will tame the mythosaur and rule over mandalor and gather all the Mandalorians. The cult will all die in support of Din Djarin as he protects Grogu from Moff Gideon. Djarin will succumb to his injuries but will be present when Grogu goes off with Ahsoka.

I'm keeping an open mind about it all though. At this point I'm a cafeteria Star Wars fan. I consume what I like and pretend the rest doesn't exist. It works for me.

Also, the low water levels of Lake Powell during the drought will forever be immortalized in the Star Wars universe. Didnt even try to edit out the recent water level marks.

lol patience is a virtue. You think that's how they are going to ride into the sunset?

The last three episodes have been great. The entire rest of the season has been zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Disagree. You think it's a coincidence that all the 'big dumb star wars monsters' have been getting a lot of run lately? Do you also think it's a coincidence that the climax of the finale of the Book of Boba Fett is when Grogu tames the rancor? And that Din earned his signet by also killing the mudhorn that Grogu subdued? I don't. I also don't think for a second they are about to slap a helmet on Grogu, never to see his toy-selling face again. For the record, I also don't think it's a coincidence that Jon Favreau isn't voicing Paz Vizla anymore and that they cast a traditional actor for that part. The helmets are outta here- maybe by the end of this season. There are a lot more Mandalorians out there, including Sabine Wren, who is about to step into live action on Ahsoka. I don't know how the last four episodes are going to shake out, but word is that it gets a little nutty. We'll see.

            • I have to say that I really love what Dave Filoni and Jon Favearu have done for Ahmed Best. Much deserved after all he has gone through. I hope they build on this as I believe he has not died..

              • I have a pretty big soft spot for Rebels. My son and I binged it after my dad passed and it helped get my mind off of things. I've been fairly bored with the covert on the Mandalorian but seeing Zeb for a few seconds was awesome and I look forward to the continuation of the Rebels storyline in Ahsoka. I'm assuming quite a few characters from Rebels will be making appearances in the final two episodes. I expect Bo Katan will cross paths with Sabine shortly.

                • Rebels is some of the best Star Wars period. It's no wonder that all the live action series that take place post-ROTJ are merging into the Rebels storyline with the Rebels' characters. Zeb looked great, too. He was the one I was worried wouldn't translate. If my suspicion is correct and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is playing Hera... I'll be pretty happy with the cast.

                  • AHSOKA trailer looks great. They nailed the casting of Sabine. Hera I'm not so sure of. But her species is tough to make look good in live action. It looks like Filoni might be incorporating Heir to the Empire into the storyline.

I also had that vague impression, the source of which I can't quite put my finger on but maybe just maybe it was when they said Thrawn was positioning himself to become the "Heir to the Empire."

Funny, that's what clued me in as well. How perceptive we are!

                          • Joking aside, I'm not sure how the Thrawn story will unfold in this series. The Thrawn trilogy centered on Luke, Han's, and Leia's battles against Thrawn during the same time frame. So now it'll be Ahsoka and the Rebel team fighting him instead? The more I think about it the more it kind of saddens me. I always hoped there would be an animated series of the original characters post ROTJ and the Thrawn trilogy would have been great to base it on.

Yeah, the nice part about having Thrawn reappear in Disney canon is that let you sort of pretend all those nice stories didn't get summarily dumped. Now that Thrawn is appearing in the same time frame as the original Thrawn trilogy, displacement is inevitable.

                              • The last episode of the Mandalorian has to be the dumbest 46 minutes in the history of the SW. I felt embarrassed for Jack Black and Christopher Lloyd, and Lizzo. So bad.
