There has been recent chatter about the Han Solo film, which only kind of seems like a good idea. It's not like you can put a younger actor in a Harrison Ford suit and act like nothing's wrong. That worked with Obi-Wan, but only because Ewan McGregor is a great actor and Alec Guinness is dead. :/
I have also heard rumors that Aaron Paul is being considered for the role. I dunno about that one."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

If they can somehow incorporate Han Solo saying "Yeah, bitch! Magnets!," I'm all in on Aaron Paul as Han Solo in a stand alone film.Originally posted by Commando View Post

If he does get cast, I'd expect memes galore like "I shot first, bitch" or "I know, bitch" or "then I'll see you in Hell, bitch" etc...Originally posted by mpfunk View PostIf they can somehow incorporate Han Solo saying "Yeah, bitch! Who the hell wants to see any spinoff involving Bobo Fett? Is he the Ryan Reynolds of the Star Wars world where he keeps on getting screen time and mentions and no one cares at all about him?Originally posted by Commando View Post

Is Disney going to get slaughtered by Marvel and Star Wars fatigue by around 2020? Aren't they doing a Star Wars film every year now?Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Boba Fett is a character they pumped up prior to the release of Empire Strikes Back as a new emerging heavy, but really didn't do anything except deliver Han Solo to Darth Vader and look cool. Despite that, he has remained one of the most popular characters in the SW universe. I attribute this to his costume design and mystique, so even though there seems to be demand for this character I think the air would be let out of the tire pretty fast by devoting a movie to him unless it was a really really good movie. But that goes without saying- nobody wanted to see Iron Man until it turned out to be a good movie.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostWho the hell wants to see any spinoff involving Bobo Fett? So far Disney is changing the whole movie industry with the way it has stacked and interwoven all the Marvel movies, which have all grossed huge; I mean the last Captain America wayyy outperformed Sony's Spiderman for f8*k's sake- that should never happen. The Star Wars property seemed to be an easy follow since there is such a vast array of material, time lines, and characters to explore. Also, it is noteworthy that after the release of the second teaser trailer for the next SW Disney stock received a 2 Billion $ boost in value.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostIs Disney going to get slaughtered by Marvel and Star Wars fatigue by around 2020? Disney is also revamping its Disney Studios park to include 2 more full-on Star Wars related features/rides. (Harry Potter only got bigger with 7 (or was it 8) movies that were all let-downs (compared to the source material) + the amusement park addition at Universal that has been jam-packed since day one.) So, if by slaughtered you mean crushed under the weight of bags of money they don't know what to do with, then yes.

I know this isn't an earth shattering point, but that last Spider Man movie was dogshit, while Continuingaptain America 2 was pretty good. If Marvel can keep up the quality, then they should do okay. But there have also been a number of comic book movies the last few years which have not done well. So, there is evidence that comic book movies aren't an automatic huge money maker.Originally posted by Commando View PostBoba Fett is a character they pumped up prior to the release of Empire Strikes Back as a new emerging heavy, but really didn't do anything except deliver Han Solo to Darth Vader and look cool. Right- lots of clunkers- (Green Lantern, the first Wolverine origin movie, Fantastic 4, X Men 3, etc.) which probably goes to the point that the producers at disney in particular have shown how to keep the dice rolling pretty well- (the Guardians of the Galaxy movie being the unbelievable ace up the sleeve as a non commonly recognized property that performed extremely well). I liked all of the Hulk movies, but they haven't performed to satisfactory levels for studio heads I guess. All the Avengers movies have killed it, despite them being roundly criticized on this forum.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostI know this isn't an earth shattering point, but that last Spider Man movie was dogshit, while Continuingaptain America 2 was pretty good. I think Star Wars is really easy to get right- basically every comic book, fan film, peripheral novel, animated series, etc. has managed to "get it right," whereas everything Lucas wrote was about 50/50. JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy are going to knock this out of the park."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"
