    Favorite Television Characters

After realizing how emotionally invested I am in the economic rise, and moral fall of Walter White I was pondering who are some of my favorite fictional characters (TV only) of all time.

Though I reserve the right to change this list, as I will certainly be reminded of someone I've forgot.

    1) Sam Malone- I may or may not have owned a Members Only jacket and rolled the sleeves up, at one point in my life, out of respect for Mayday.
    2) Walt White
    3) Omar Little / Stringer Bell
    4) George Costanza
    5) Vic Mackey
    6) Don Draper
    7) Arthur Fonzarelli / Steve Austin (astronaut, barely alive...) - only a child in the 70s can know how cool both of these guys were. Mr. White and Draper aren't on anyone's lunchboxes!
    8) Homer Simpson / Beavis
    9) Coach Eric Taylor
    10) Hawkeye Pierce - more the early years, and mainly of the memory of watching Mash every week with my dad

    Edited List:
    1) Sam Malone
    2) George Costanza
    3) Fonzi and Col. Austin
    4) Kevin Arnold
    5) Eric Taylor
    6) Homer Simpson
    7) Archie Bunker
    8) Sgt. Shultz
    9) Reese and Hal Wilkerson
    10) Hawkeye Pierce

Favorite in what sense? Compelling to watch or you just generally like the character on some personal level? Walt's been compelling to watch, that's for sure.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

My list is a combination of both. The majority of my list are compelling characters, who have some very unlikable traits (drug dealing, murder, adultery), but I found myself rooting for on a weekly basis, and/or pondering their motivations (Walt, Omar, Don, Vic) throughout the week. The other portion are just likable with very obvious motivations (women, doughnuts, cured meats).

So I guess the list is whatever you want it to be. RC already mentioned one (Sonny Crockett) who was right on the edge of cracking my top 10.

So you named yourself after your 4th favorite TV character?

I'll concede victory because of the photo.

I LOVED that show. Whatever happened to it? I would love to watch some of the episodes again.

Jesse Pinkman is definitely a favorite of mine.
Dewey and Reese from Malcolm and the Middle.

I love the Jim/Pam relationship from The Office.

What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Get a Life is finally getting a proper DVD release on September 18.

I currently can watch Get a Life based on a crappy VHS transfer to DVD that I bought on Amazon. I also have about 8 episodes from an original DVD release that is out of print.
