I think this sentiment is kind of tired. I know I'm stealing from David Foster-Wallace here, but Hollywood (at least in the sense of most mainstream, commercial Hollywood) has to satisfy the public in order to make $$$. If that public was more receptive to creative expressions, stuff coming out of Hollywood would look different. As it stands, garbage with an already established commercial record (remakes, sequels, etc.) is what comes pouring out.Last edited by MarkGrace; 08-09-2012, 02:02 PM.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

CGI. Think Garfield.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostMust be part of a larger reboot. Today's kids have no idea about Gordon Shumway and have likely never seen an episode. I wonder if they are going to use the exact same puppet/costume?Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Who says?Originally posted by falafel View PostWell, the whole movie can't be shot in front of a couch or the dinner table.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

They're hardly out of ideas. That will only come once they do a movie remake of Designing Women.Part of it is based on academic grounds. I get that thinking as it applies to remakes, but at the same time, there are a lot of great stories out there that could be told, even if you're just adapting them from books. I'd rather see something like that than another remake. To me, sequels are something different because they add to the story--they don't (usually) retell them again.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI think this sentiment is kind of tired.
