Agree about the Marinovich Project. That was very interesting. Very well done. I'm also looking forward to 9.79. I haven't seen many from the series, but every single one I have seen has been well worth my time.

Just finished Once Brothers. It's about Vlade Divac and Drazen Petrovic's friendship unraveling as Yugoslavia fell into civil war. Very fascinating story and made me really like Vlade.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

There's no Place Like Home. Not the best of the bunch, but I enjoyed it.

I thought the guy was super annoying and by the time the auction rolled around I was cheering against him.

9.79* was really interesting I thought. I like how they kept doing everything but accuse Carl Lewis of doping, I wonder if they had to keep editing with a lawyer to tell them what they could and couldn't say. The Santa Monica Track coach reminds me of some movie character but I can't remember who. I also totally believe that the guy snuck into the testing room slipped something to Ben Johnson.

Donut hit it on the head with No Place Like Home, I was cheering for the Dukie by the end of the bidding. I couldn't help but think how irrelevant to the average recruit/student at KU having those rules in a museum really is. Swobe kept acting like it would change the future of Jayhawk basketball, made me chuckle.

I enjoyed the one about Ben Wilson.
              I'm like LeBron James.

I caught pieces of that one last night. Such a sad story. The scene with the mother speaking six hours after her sons death was amazing. What a strong woman.

The 30 for 30 on Bo Jackson is premiering this Sunday. I can't wait.

Loved, loved, loved Bo when I was a kid.

This column on Grantland states that for a brief period of time (very late 80s through the time of his injury), Bo was as big a deal as Jordan. But Bo got injured and Jordan started winning championships.

BTW, I read that Bo was the 3rd fastest player in NFL history (judging by 40 times apparently) -- and he was 6'1 230 lbs. Damn.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
