    Against Me! lead singer Tom Gabel to become a woman.

    Gabel says his new name will be Laura Jane Grace. He says he's not attracted to men and will still be married to his wife. They have a 2-year-old daughter.

          Wow. A little too much time hangin' with Tegan and Sara, i guess. FTR, I really like Against Me!, even though i don't listen to much punk rock anymore. I wonder if the hormone treatment will affect his/her voice at all? That would be a damn shame, as I think he has one of the best punk rock voices in existence. It's the reason Against Me! is even on the map, IMO.

                                  I love against me and have seen them live and seen tom play acoustic. He does have an amazing voice. Some of his songs point to gender identity issues and in one he sings if he would have been born a women he would have been named Laura, or something to that effect.
