For the record, we kept with Sonos. Sound bar, sub and Play 1s. Sound it great when utilized. Which is unfortunately rare.

I got pretty much the same system for our TV room a few months ago. Super pleased with the sound and I highly recommend it. But like you, it is way underutilized. Kids just don't mind if they watch movies on a phone...
