    December - Norah Jones
Frosty the Snowman - Zee Avi
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear - Josh Groban (the only Josh Groban song I'll EVER listen to)
Last Christmas - Jimmy Eat World
Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses (just not Christmas without this song)
Donna and Blitzen - Badly Drawn Boy
    Just Like Christmas - Low
Valley Winter Song - Fountains of Wayne
Duke Ellington has his versions of The Nutcracker in his Three Suites. AMAZING. My favorite is Sugar Rum Cherry (Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy)
A Great Big Sled - The Killers
    Sufjan Stevens Christmas album
    Wintersong - Sarah McLachlan
    She and Him Christmas album

I have an unhealthy obsession with Christmas music.
About half of those are traditional Christmas songs.

Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

The original post has a couple that are "traditional" Christmas songs. I think what makes it nontraditional is the artist and how they change it. I'll give you the Josh Groban - it's totally gospel, but still close to traditional - but the rest? Not your typical Christmas tunes.

p.s. other people posted traditional stuff, so why are you calling me out...?

Oh geeze. Do we need some clarification people?

New rule. You can use traditional songs, but by a nontraditional artist. These include Neil Diamond, Barbara Streisand, Bing Crosby, etc.

I am looking for some good songs to add to the ol' collection is all.

So these are example for traditional or non-traditional artists? Now I'm even more confused. If these people are non-traditional, who is traditional?
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Maybe a better thread title would be non-classic Christmas songs

My goodness. I did muck that up didn't I? Okay. The artists I used were meant to be an example of traditional artists...

Oh hell. Just post your stupid Christmas songs here that you like.
