I am really only going to miss Nick, Nick Jr, CC, and Spike. Then others our family doesn't watch.
If this isn't worked out in the next couple of weeks looks like I will be switching to evil Comcast. That really sucks, my wife will not have TV without the nick's, Com Cent and VH1.

When I came home from work yesterday my oldest came running to me with a huge concern on her face saying "They are going to drop Nick if I don't pay more money! Can you call and pay"

I am concerned that she was so upset about it.
( FYI I most likely wrote that incoherently and will be properly corrected forthwith. Thanks)

One good thing about TeenNick is that my kids get to see that teenage dramas from Australia are just as ridiculous as the ones from America.

My dad, who watches maybe 1/2 hour of TV a day (Andy Griffith on TV land as he goes to bed), is so mad about losing TVLand that he cancelled DirecTV with a year left on his contract. I thought that was pretty funny.

I don't care about any of those channels. Viacom wants me to pay top dollar for all of them as a package. DTV doesn't want to. In this case, I'll side with DTV.

Lose 8 worthless channels, pick up 8 different worthless channels. Seems like a good trade.

An agreement with Viacom has been reached. I can now watch Queer as Folk again!

I love the way these things are slanted.

Thanks to your patience and support, DIRECTV today entered into a new long-term agreement with Viacom to immediately return all the channels you had previously enjoyed. Plus, as a result of our new deal, you will soon enjoy the freedom to see all your favorite Viacom shows on your computer, tablet or cell phone through our DIRECTV Everywhere platform. Although Viacom had regrettably tried to deny you access to drive a more expensive deal, our focus was always about giving you the absolute best experience at the most reasonable cost.

More details on the agreement can be found on DirectvPromise.com. It includes long-term rights to provide Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, BET, Spike, CMT, TV Land and several others so Viacom cannot try to deny you access anytime again soon. Your patience during this unfortunate Viacom blackout has helped to serve notice to every media company that you and our other customers will not be bullied. Hopefully, thanks to your support and others', we can together make these blackouts a thing of the past.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
