    I never had Nevermind or Ten on CD, only tape and was going to pick them up. But they were too scratched up. I haven't listened to either in at least a decade.
    Albums then seemed so much better prepared b/c so much more was at stake when putting out an album. Now we have mostly the white stripes approach, which is great, and the technology makes it so much easier to make a record, but something about that old way really carved out some masterpieces...

      Even live albums sounded better. Clapton's or Alice in Chain's Unplugged albums had amazing quality. I just don't hear that anymore, or maybe I've become used to it.
