Which HBO shows to watch?

    Which HBO shows to watch?

    I've been a subscriber to HBO since I signed up for DISH several months back and I got three months for free.

    I sound like a broken record, but HBO Go allows you to watch all the episodes of virtually every HBO show.

    I've watched the following HBO shows:

    Boardwalk Empire
    Deadwood -- Seasons 1 and 2
    Sopranos
    The Wire -- all the seasons except for Season 5
    Game of Thrones
    Rome -- Season 1
    True Blood -- Season 3
    Curb Your Enthusiasm -- about half the episodes.


    I'm wondering which of the following shows I should watch:

    The seasons of the shows above that I have missed (I've heard Season 5 of the Wire was not that great), I need to watch the rest of Deadwood.

    Six Feet Under

    Big Love

    Carnivale

    Oz
    Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

    What do you think of Deadwood? I've got the first and second seasons ready to go, but I haven't started watching them yet.

    If you've watched the first 4 seasons of the Wire, you need to finish it. Its a shortened season at 10 episodes. Its got a few quirks, but generally its very good. Much better than the best seasons of other shows.

      Some of the dudes I play trivia with love carnivale. I intend on watching it at some point.

        Dude, does it have all of the episodes of Larry Sanders Show? Get going on that one if they do.
        Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

        None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

        I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

              I'd ignore Six Feet Under if I were you. But then, that's just my opinion.

                  I can understand why you'd say that. I just found the entire series an insult to the funeral business. I've never met a funeral director who didn't feel the same. But as you say, I may not be the one to ask about it.

                      I loved that show.

                      It's definitely not for everyone.

                      I've been to the real Deadwood several times and can easily picture it's wild beginning.

                        Dear HBO,

                        Please take out the pointless boob and sex scenes in case some of our spouses turn the tv on Sunday morning and find Luck Luciano humping Gretchen Mol while our stupid DVR is recording it even though it was already recorded last year.

                            I have been toying with the idea of signing up for HBO for a month or two, just to grab a copy of the Game of Thrones series. Everyone seems to rave about it.

                            As someone said, you should catch season 5 of the wire.

                            Is True Blood worth watching? I caught part of an episode once and it seemed kind of cheesy.

                              Me and Gidget got into True Blood. She's read the books. But it's not for everyone. Some episodes are like softcore porn.
