This years the big winners were Life on Mars ( I really like this show) and Gavin and Stacey on BBCAmerica. This show is hilarious. If you haven't seen this, I highly recommend it.

I wanted to try out My own worst Enemy, but never got around to it.
The thing that sucks about network TV is when you get into a show like My Own Worst Enemy and then it gets canceled after a few shows.

That's the great thing about HBO. No matter how bad the ratings you'll at least get a full season or two to watch.

Something weird happened the other day.

I woke up one morning and decided that I enjoy watching Kath and Kim.

Maybe it is that opening montage in the mall. rowrrrr!

I watched some of the first episode and swore I'd never do that to myself again. Is it truly worth another look?

No. I force fed myself 3 episodes before I pulled the plug. I can't decide which is worse: the writing, Molly Shannon in jazzercise gear, or Selma Blair's bloated tummy always muffin-topping out her shorts.

I dont know why I continue watching it.

The first episode was awful, even with my unrealistic expectations.

The latest episode finally had the first laugh-out-loud moment....when Selma Blair came back into the kitchen and asked what was taking so long with the buns.

I don't really watch the show for the flesh. I get my flesh quota filled watching Penny on "Big Bang Theory." ROWRRR!

Really at times that show reminds me of people in my profession (ok sometimes it reminds of things I say too) ...

i enjoy it. it takes place in california, the one-liners are sometimes funny, it has references to pop culture (albeit nerdy ones) and there is a hot blonde in it.

This question has an easy answer. The best new show by a mile is Sons of Anarchy. This is a drama about a California motorcycle gang in the style of something you might expect to see on HBO or show time. It has strong content but is dialed down just enough that it is not R rated. Well acted, well written, interesting conflicts. I recommend everyone DVR a couple of these and watch them. It is going to be nominated for some Emmys.

I like Fringe as well. Not an overwhelming favorite, but enjoyable. Eli Stone I didn't have any interest in but my wife had it on while I was surfing the internet and it is growing on me. Its not new but I am still a fan of the Sarah Conner Chronicles which is relatively new since it got cut off in the middle of its first season last fall by the strike. Also still like Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. The US version of this is much better this season. I love Ramsey, he slays me.

I will give Sanctuary a try based on your recommendation Socal.

                      I believe it's on A&E.

I find myself watching a ton of A&E. Jacked: Auto Theft Task Force is a good show. Rookies is a good show, The first 48 and Dog the Bounty hunter.

I also watch a lot of Gangland on Discovery.

The new season of Entourage has been solid and TrueBlood has been awesome since they now show Anna Paquin naked on a regular basis.

Great show. Sort of like Hamlet on Harleys.

I found that I kinda like the Mentalist. Not a great show, but it holds my attention. The show that is turning around is Heros. I was a big fan the first season and almost stopped watching it last year. My son has kept me in it this year and fthe past two or three week I have seen a change for the better. I don't think they could have found a worse actor than the guy they have playing the Petrelli dad, but, that is just my opinion.

Sons of Anarchy is a great show. It would be better on HBO though. It is missing a bunch.

                                As far as acting goes...

The Jax character is a good actor.

Pearlman is not a good actor, neither is Opie's dad. Both are overdramatic.

Show has a chance to be good though.
