Getting to know Hank Williams (Sr., obviously)

I'm not sure if this is a sign of the maturation of my musical tastes or something much worse.... but after spending no time on Hank in the rest of my life I'm finding myself digging a selection of his 24 best songs.

hank williams is, for me, on that highest of tiers with elvis, johnny cash, ray charles, and chuck berry (among others). not only was he groundbreaking and profoundly influential but he put out music that i cannot ever get tired of. it's so pure and simple, which contrasted with his alcoholism is what music is all about.
