Last night, after striking out in trying to buy scalped tickets for Paul Simon at The Fillmore (You can always buy scalped tickets! says triplet. NOT.) my friends and I popped down the street and went to Yoshi's SF to see Leon Redbone. After a couple of songs to relax to his very low key level, he presented a most enjoyable concert. It was actually a cross between a vaudeville act and a concert. Little jokes, small stories, wry references and some surprisingly good guitar playing. A worthwhile show.
This video shows Leon and his piano player in the same configuration as last night.
