The Wire

The Wire is an awesome show. I have seen all of the seasons. Also Entourage I have watched religiously since the beginning another great show (although last season was probably my least favorite).

Now I am watching Eastbound and Down, so far so good.

I am a sap, but I really liked last season of Entourage. I thought it made Ari such a real character.

My wife bought me season 1 of the Wire but I have yet to watch it.

Eastbound and Down, started off awesome. Although episode 2 wasn't as good as 1 so I am nervous.

I thought TruBlood was awesome.

The characters in The Wire are fantastic.

Bunk - comic relief
Lester - the brains behind the investigative unit and a wise-ass.
Stringer Bell - business-minded general in the drug gang.
Omar - badass homo robin hood.

These are my favorites as of right now. I've got alot of Wire watching ahead of me still though.

Interesting that my two favorite tv shows right now are on HBO. Entourage and The Wire.

Anyone seen Rome? A buddy of mine said it was mostly just mindless sex scenes.

Rome starts of pretty weak (like your buddy says, with lots of mindless sex, probably to get people 'into it' early) but gets pretty strong by season two when the details start to draw more from history. By the end I was sad it was over.

I just put all the seasons in my Blockbuster qeue. I'm excited to see it since so many of my friends have talked it up.

I put this show in the Netflix qeue and haven't looked back. It took a little while for the wife to get over the swearing and violence, but she is as hooked as I am. We are currently in the middle of season 2.

This show is some of the the best television I have ever seen. It has it all. Great story, clever and funny writing, great charaters. It's fantastic. I highly recommend getting into it.

By the way, this board is great.
