I'm intrigued but I'm not sure if I should plan on watching this with my wife or on my own. How edgy is it?

How about the scene at the end of season one when they have Weebay in custody and they are feeding him food as he gives them case after case of unresolved murders? Hilarious.

Ah, I forgot another great one.

    - Stringer Bell in his macroecon class then yelling at his guys about product elasticity

    Three favorite scenes so far.

    - D teaching the boys how to play chess in the courtyard as a metaphor for the drug game

    - Bunk and McNulty doing that investigation where they are using nothing but some variation on the f-bomb. Hysterical.

    - Omar punking those two dudes in the alley and then yelling out "you come at the king, you best not miss!"

I read that Berkeley is offering a semester long course on The Wire. That would be fun. Much better than the boring ass Int'l Bus Transactions course I'm sitting in right now.

Don't sleep on Baltimore. Those that can't handle the streets of B-Town move to SE DC. Nuff said

Maybe I like The Wire because it makes me feel better about where we live.

This show is some of the the best television I have ever seen. It has it all. Great story, clever and funny writing, great charaters. It's fantastic. I highly recommend getting into it.

By the way, this board is great.

easily the best written show of all time. it is a great crime drama but more than that, it is about the slow agonizing death of inner city america.
