    Spamalot

This is playing at the U (Kingsbury) this weekend. Yesterday evening my wife gets an email from one of her students that she taught years ago and has made a career out of Broadway and touring companies. He is really talented. I guess he heard she was now in SLC, so he is giving us 2 comps for tomorrow nights show, as well as a meet and greet with the cast afterwards.

My wife is really excited. Very rewarding to have played a small part in the success of a youth in HS. Making it on Broadway is probably only slightly less difficult than becoming a professional athlete or rock star. The odds are definitely slim.

Anyhow, free date night. And spamalot was pretty good, so thank goodness he is in something I will enjoy.

Maybe you will get to be the person that gets the special award at the end. Sounds fun, we saw Spamalot in Eugene a couple years ago and had a great time.

Are you doing dinner beforehand? I'm trying to figure out what we are going to do. Curtain is at 8 so we will have time to kill beforehand. Are there any popular pre theater eateries in SLC?

Go to the Red Iguana can't go wrong with that place. Maybe hit up the Chester Copperpot or whatever restaurant Utestar was talking about today.

You should check out the pie beforehand. Great pizza.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I liked it a lot more than I expected, but my expectations were low. It helped that the Lady of the Lake was very hott (Or is it haht? Where's UteStar when I need him?) and a terrific singer.

I'm not UteStar but I believe "hawt" is the misspelling you are grasping for.

I enjoyed it but it was never going to be able to capture the magic of the film.

Tomorrow is more about my wife seeing one of her students in a touring production. Hey, at least he isn't starring in something truly awful....like Thoroughly Modern Millie

Any place to get tickets cheaper than the UofU website? 37 bones each is kinda expensive for me.

                          Also,
My literary overseers have informed me the correct misspelling is HAWTT!!! That said, perhaps I overstated a bit, but Ms. Lauren Kennedy, The Lady of the Lake, was very attractive and was excellent in the role:
