This is too bad. It doesn't sound like there were any hurt feelings, and there really wasn't any reason in the statement. It also looks like whitestripes.com has been taken down.

Bummer. But its always been obvious that Meg was nothing more than the smallest of props that allowed Jack to do what ever he wanted. In the early days, he needed someone else on stage with him. Now he's got so many bands, and so much artistic control (if he wants it), that it doesn't make sense to keep Meg around.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
