You used to be a fan now you can't stand them

I asked a related but broader question a couple of weeks ago, but there's a key distinction here - not just bands you used to like and now don't really get into, but bands/musicians you used to love but now emphatically dislike.

Two come to mind for me:

    STP
    Lenny Kravitz
    Ute-ī sunt fīmī differtī

It can't all be wedding cake.

Hmm...can't really think of any. I really dislike what's become of The Kings of Leon, and I generally think they've acted like insecure assholes since hitting the big-time, but I still like some of their stuff ok.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I would put myself in that camp as well after this summer.

Black Eyed Peas. There first 2 albums were really good but they keep getting worse.

During the late 90s I went through a couple of phases that even to this day boggles my mind.

            1. A lot of the late 90s metal/rap fusion bands
            2. My friends used to call it "California Punk." The stuff skaters were listening to in the 90s, the Epitaph Records stuff.

The first one is inexcusable. The second one isn't necessarily embarrassing it just all sounds the same and doesn't suit my personality.

Yeah those guys all tried too hard and made, mostly, suck-ass music. Glad you came around there. Fred Durst inspired a few fun parodies though.

I can't listen to most of it anymore. Bad Religion? Nope. Pennywise? Anti-Flag? Ten-Foot Pole? Nope, no and nada.

There is some stuff I respect and can listen to on occasion - Suicidal Tendencies, Op-Ivy, and a lot of the early Hard Core stuff (Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat). I'll also listen to the Misfits but all this stuff is far cry from the 90s skate punk stuff.
