  • The worst thing ever recorded, in any medium

Every time I try to form words to describe this thing I fail.

How they managed to dredge up this roster of D-listers you'd forgotten existed and put them in one cheese-ass music video where most of them apparently are singing is either a feat or a crime, a glory or an abomination.

Either way - watch it and form your own opinion. If you're like me you'll shake your head throughout thinking " no - no, this shouldn't be happening." And yet somehow it will feel so wrong that it almost feels right.

Oh um, bonus - the goofy-ass Euros whose obliviousness to what is alive and what is supposed to be dead in pop culture made this possible show up all over in the video and I have no idea what they're about.

Double bonus - they made a second even worse video

Hah - I was actually just going to post my thanks to Hotair.com for bringing this to my attention.

I'm sure that's where YOhio found it as well.

When I first saw this I did a double take. Gyllene Tider, a Swedish group, was Per Gessle's band before he formed Roxette.

It turns out that Gylne Tider is a Norwegian TV show.

I would counter with either of these:

I didn't realize that by worst thing every recorded you actually meant the most awesome thing of all time.

I would love to comment about the awesomeness of these videos, but that would only destroy it for those that haven't watched them yet. I would like to say that they really kicked it up a notch in the first one at the 4:47 mark.

Thank you oxcoug, you have changed my life for the better.

That just took me back to "Do they know it's Christmas" and a question that Bill Simmons had. With stars such as Bono, Sting, Simon LeBon, George Michael and even Boy George around it's funny that Paul Young was given most of the time on this record. Also the line that Bono sings is a little strange " Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you".
