He is a member of CUF kind of like Robin is a member of the Church.

Two posts, both in a thread about his podcast.

No that there is anything wrong with that.

                Three posts!

John, do you have an RSS feed that lets you know when your names is mentioned on CUF?

Or perhaps johndehlin is a creation of The Big Lebowski.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Recently started listening to your podcasts. They're pretty great. Thanks.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I know there are some CUFfers who know him pretty well, probably someone sent him the CUF link. I'm pretty sure I sent him a CUF link back in the day that got him to post, same with CG.

That's interesting that the article thinks that the leaders will address it at GC. I don't know why in the world they would do that...but maybe they will.

Pardon my not knowing, but I thought John was not a member of the church...is that inaccurate?
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

That's inaccurate, he is a member. That article mentions it too.

I totally HEART Mormon Stories. Please introduce yourself on Ellis Island because not everyone here may know who you are. Glad to see you here.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Oh, I see he's been here awhile. That's what I get for reading this thread backwards. Well, introduce yourself anyway.

If it's anything like the Joseph Smith episode of South Park, I'm really not very worried. If it's like the Scientology episode ("Tom Cruise won't come out the closet!), then I would have been worried.

It sounds like it's the former, which is fine. They're bewildered at what we believe but at the same time have an affection for the people we are. That's not a bad thing to be in the South Park Universe.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
