Unfortunately, unlike pelagiu$, I don't have the ability to bench my body weight 30 times or the techno-computer savvy to create crazy automatic scoring programs that require the use of pipe de-something or others, so I am doing the scoring all by hand. Thus, it is helpful to submit them in a timely manner. However, there is no strict time limit. I tried the same-day thing in the first THRILLER CHALLENGE and it didn't work to my liking. Some folks submit their responses in clumps every few days or on weekends. I'm fine either way.

In fact, I think it would be cool to involve the fam in this or go rent the movie and then submit your answer afterward.

Untimely submissions do affect the overall standings, however. So you cannot ass-u-me that someone with a low score is far behind in your rear view mirror. They may have simply not submitted their guesses yet.

Happy Christmas to All, and to all a goodnight!

That's what we did for the Halloween Thriller Challenge.

Can one change his or her entry after going back and watching the movie in question on a given day?
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Ho Ho Ho! Of course not, don't be silly!

Any attempt to circumvent the honor system will result in your chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

I demand a recount. My 'sassy' response may not have been what you wanted but it was, I believe, technically correct.
                    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Q: How did Buddy answer the phone
                      A: "with his hands"

                      NOT an acceptable answer.

Harummmph. I want to know how, with only five questions and the maximum point value being 3 per correct answer, the leaders are tied with 16 points apiece. I was also deeply concerned that the film in question, a mere trifle in the gallery of holiday cinema, was so heavily weighted. But I'm over it now, and have resolved to become more fully invested in the contest. ParrotHead, I'm coming after you.

                          Grrr. But he DID!

look at what you have done to PAC and me; you are dangerously close to losing the gray hair demographic.

                            Day 2

Good grief, the second-longest running X-mas cartoon of all time!

                            1. Name the cartoon. The EXACT name.
                            2. How much does it cost for Charlie Brown to visit Lucy's Psychiatry booth?
                            3. What was Charlie Brown's job in the Christmas play?
                            4. Linus explains the meaning of Christmas by reciting scripture. From which book of scripture does Linus quote? (looking for book within the standard work, not the standard work itself)
                            5. Which tune does Schroeder play on his piano, using only one finger?

I love creekster's answer, in part because it reminds me of the excellent Cliff Clavin appearance on Jeopardy when, in response to the clue: "Archibald Leach, Bernard Schwartz and Lucille LeSueur," Cliff responded "Who are three people who've never been in my kitchen?"

He was correct, of course, and caused Alex Trebek to retire, at least momentarily. I do not wish for the current dispute to result in DDD's retirement. I'd also note that Buddy probably only used one hand to answer the phone.
