  • Twilight.....on second thought.......

...will there be any carryover eroticism from the all the women going to see this movie?

From what I understand, there is a lot of soft-core vampire porn in the storyline. Wife goes to see late showing of vampire porn, gets into the movie, movie ends, wife comes home.....

Will husbands across the country be busting out their wooden stakes this weekend?

One thing is for sure, it has to have a better eroticism carryover than the Work and The Glory movie. That did nothing for our household.

Are you assuming there will still be carry over after the husbands stop laughing their guts out about the wives carrying on about a stupid movie?

Ugh! My son saw a preview for this movie and wants to see it. All he knows is that it's about vampires and he thinks vampires are cool. I should probably tell him that it is really just a couple of pale-faced teenagers sucking face for 90 minutes.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

The only thing the carryover eroticism will lead to, at least for most women, is a second and third trip to the theater to see Edward on screen again and again.

Speak for yourself, honey. I'm penciling in a slot before the BYU football game for some afternoon delight. SHW will be returning from seeing the movie at about 1 pm.

Hmm.. that only gives you 4 hours until kickoff. Is that enough time?

Wait a sec! I thought SHW didn't like the emotional, supernatural vampire porn. Is she really going to see the movie?

And, FTR, I was not speaking for myself. I was speaking for the frigid ___s of the world.

Twilight the movie sucked ass. After tickets and goodies my wallet was exactly $40 lighter. $40 freaking bucks to watch that crap. The dialogue was disjointed. The plot was silly. The acting horrendous. Vampire baseball? You've got to be kidding me. They sparkle in the sun instead of melting and burning away? I think the movie makers assumed everyone was a reader. I also got to hear about how hot Robert Pattison was the whole ride home.

                  But I did get some.

P.S. I think me getting lucky had more to do with me being out of town for a week than anything else.

My wife saw it twice, as well. My stats are the same as yours!

Also, dinner at Sundance didn't help, either. I should have gone to the game with you.

I think I will try Surfah's approach and just go out of town for a bit.

I must be getting old. I don't think getting laid would be worth suffering through this movie.

Surely you can't defend this movie like you did the book.

I haven't seen the movie. Technically, I have seen the first 20 minutes or so of the movie. My youngest daughter (6) desperately wanted to go to the movie (only because her older sisters where really excited, she doesn't really know what Twilight is) and my wife caved. My daugher got scared a few minutes in and she and I switched High School Musical III (now that's a cinematic masterpiece, wow!).
