So Coldplay seems to be cleaning up. Shocker.

Blink 182 is back together. I know they're 3 power chord progression pop punk chumps, but maybe it was growing up in southern California and listening to Cheshire Cat while hanging with friends that makes me love these guys. I am stoked for the reunion.

Nah. Like I said, I don't really care and the fact that Viva La Vida is "cleaning up" seems to validate my disinterest in this particular award show.

Hey Gene Autry did get a lifetime achievement award. When Keith Urban announced that it took me back to a childhood field trip when the Gene Autry Museum first opened. I have probably been there 4-5 times. That place kicks ass.

I liked Coldplay before they were Coldplay. I have been successful in not caring, not at all, not one whit, whether a band is popular, how it is perceived or whether they are cool or not. I think this gives me some standing to say that Coldplay is a classic example of a band that people started hating when they had a lot of success.

I liked Oasis before they were huge, I liked them when they were huge, and I continue to like them even though they are the butt of a lot of jokes.

I really don't get the Coldplay hate. Vida la vida was a great track, IMO.

I don't hate Coldplay. I think they are a good band. I admitted to being stoked about the Blink 182 reunion.
