  • Fallout: New Vegas

First impressions are that this game is really cool. If you are a fan of Fallout 3, there will be very minimal learning curve. There is a cool gambling component...you can go into casinos and play games.

It has definitely retained its jump factor, which I enjoy. Also, not bogged down by endless labyrinthine subway tunnels in this.

Anyone else playing this game? I have spent a decent chunk of the morning playing researching this new release.

We will probably pick it up around X-mas. Thank goodness for no more labyrinthine subway tunnels... those really did suck.

My friend told me there is nothing new to the game, just fall out 3 with different missions.

And online it sounds like it has more bugs than fallout 3.

      Either true?

Havent experienced any bugs today, so not sure there.

It is definitely an extension of F3, which I why I said there will be little learning curve. The weapons are mostly different, VATS is a bit different, the gambling stuff, etc. I have messed around for a couple of hours, so my exposure has been limited. But if you liked F3, you will like this.

Spent some more time with this over the weekend. I really like it. The mojave wasteland is huge and there are lots of things to explore.

I have encountered a few bugs, but it is mostly an animal getting stuck in a rock, for example. Maybe twice or three times. I don't get what all the complaining is about on that end.

Like fallout 3, I've decided to not play the game in linear fashion. I don't want to finish the main quest line before i tackle all the side quests.
