too bad we cant also correlate with birth year. My guess is most poeple think the music of their youth is the best. Except the smart ones, of course, who all agree with me about music.
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Those who have come to know me online will know my answer. That decade is also what I consider the worst decade for music too.

I started high school in 1991. Finished in 1995. Graduated from college in 1999. So it shouldn't be a surprise the decade I am most fond of and familiar with.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

I graduated from high school in the 90s but prefer the 80s.

I would agree. People always tend to think the music after "their generation" sucks, and I've heard music died in [insert year] so many times I've lost track.

Personally, of all the decades I'm familiar with, I'd probably go 60s/70s as being tops, though I think the variation in quality from each decade of 1960-2010 is not that great. 80s, 90s, 2000s I think the overall output is pretty similar.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I would probably go for '65-'74, I guess that would be the sixties

I may be small, but I'm slow.

I would go with the 1960's, but the 50's were great too. Despite what Ken Burns and Wynton Marsalis say, both were great decades for jazz.

The best decade is the one where Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin did their best work.

The 50's has zero votes. The decade that essentially gave birth to Rock and Roll is getting the shaft. I'm not sure I have a favorite decade music wise. I think I'll go give the 50's its only vote.

The 50's changed music. Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis. Some great artists that changed music and led to Motown.

I'd say the '60's. Zep, Sabbath, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, jazz.

I graduated in '05, and I've heard a lot of dynamite stuff created since then.
