If it were a hoax do you think they would've had cameras everywhere to film it? Obviously it was a piece of filmed performance art.

That last statement is a bit off. He's done plenty on his own, and as an actor he's been much more highly acclaimed than Ben has been. It's unclear what you're basing your statement on.
