    Really entertaining.

I didn't think I'd like Affleck, but I did. Yeah the story might have been cliche but very enjoyable. The Pete Postlehwaite character was pure evil.

I liked all the shots of the Bunker Hill Monument because a few years back I walked the historic sites the red brick path and walked up through the Charlestown neighborhood up to the monument and then walked all the way up to the top. Complete waste of time to go up to the top, but overall tremendous experience walking the historic areas of Boston.

We saw this tonight, and I liked it a lot, except for:

      1. Blake Lively
      2. Blake Lively showing up at the hotel room
      3. The Jon Hamm gunfight chase around the car

        Yep.

We saw this although I wish I hadn't taken the missus with me--very gritty and too many eff words, but she's a good sport. In certain respects, I felt the same way about this movie as I did about The Departed (although Affleck, while very good as both an actor and a director in this movie, is no Scorsese, to be sure). A very well done movie with a lot of troubled but interesting characters. And some excellent action sequences, as others have noted.

But I had a few gripes, ranging from the trivial to the more substantive. I'll mention three.
Spoiler for my gripes of wrath:
First, it bugged me that the necklace came from Tiffany, but that was not a Tiffany box. Yes, it's a nit, but it was just a distracting goof.

Second, we're supposed to believe that in the midst of a firefight with dozens of FBI and SWAT team members surrounding them, Affleck and Renner can change clothes and walk out unnoticed as cops? Couldn't buy it,

Third, I was disappointed that Claire used the money to rebuild the ice rink. She knew it was obtained in a heist that involved the murder of several people; why would she want anything to do with the money, even if for a worthwhile cause? She seemed better than that and would have turned the money over to the cops.

I had a few other complaints, and yet I still thought the movie was well done.

And do we have a rule about dispensing with the Spoiler tags after the movie has been out for awhile?
