This brings up a good question on what it actually means to be violent. I would say it's more about the respect the film shows for human life. Saving Private Ryan may have a high body count but it's certainly not glorifying that violence. On the other hand, you may not rack up many bodies in a movie like Saw, but the film is all about fetishizing and glorifying the violent acts themselves. Also, Cary Elwes gives one of the worst screen performances of all time in that movie, which constitutes another form of violence.Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...
