Technically a 2020 show, but has anyone else watched The Good Lord Bird on Showtime? If not, you should check it out. It is amazing. It's a dark comedy miniseries about John Bird, the 19th century abolitionist that some credit with instigating the civil war. Ethan Hawke plays Brown and is amazing and hilarious. I've only gotten through two episodes, which cover part of the Bleeding Kansas battles (the fight over whether Kansas would enter the Union as a slave or free state). I'm very excited to see the rest.

I read the book a few years back. Enjoyed it. Didn’t know there was a show. I’ll have to check it out.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
