Fringe is the best show on television. Seriously. It is a crazy good story with terrific acting. Season 1 was solid though it didn't really hit its stride till the later half. Season 2 was an improvement on the first season. And Season 3 is absolutely fabulous.

This season has been hugely ambitious and they are hitting a storyline that I can't ever remember being told this way. Last night's episode was so good for so many reasons.

Yeah, I don't see that at all. It's continually managed to tackle interesting plots while deepening its characters at the same time. That's quite a feat.

That's where they sent Dollhouse to die. It may not get renewed for a fourth season, but I refuse to get depressed about the fate of a show that gets two or three good seasons on the air. That's a decent run and it usually means they at least go out on top. Hopefully people will discover them on DVD.

I generally agree with this. I am a HUGE Veronica Mars fan, and I was disappointed that it didn't get a 4th season, but I felt that overall, the story had been told and it wasn't a big big deal to have it canceled. I would be disappointed if Fringe was canceled because this show just seems to be getting better and better. It has truly hit its stride this year and I would love one more season.

So my wife and I just watched 12 episodes over the last 4 days and are now completely caught up. (This required a pain in the ass combination of Netflix, Hulu, iTunes and TiVo.) Wow. There are few things as artistically pleasing as watching a television show making the jump from very good to great. I can't wait to see where they go from here.

I 100% agree. Fringe, this year, has been absolutely fabulous. Season 1 was good, Season 2 was very good. Season 3 has improved even on that. That is the reason that I want a Season 4 is that Fringe gets better every single year.

It is really nothing like the first few episodes. The path that I thought they would take (Olivia and her traitor ex boyfriend) did not take. At the beginning it was also more focused on the weekly weird story. Now, (even though there is still a weird mystery story every week) they are more focused on the main characters stories over the whole season. It's a great storyline they have come up with.
